With garments reflecting significant dates in the long and evocative history of the company, plus new items for those keen on racing and performance, the leisure range is the best yet according to Tjerry Sanders, Product Manager for Clothing and Merchandise at Kawasaki Motors Europe.

“We have put maximum effort into every aspect of this project and chosen to work alongside the best specialist companies in Europe to advise us on the colours, style and overall design of each garment. Likewise, we are manufacturing everything within Europe so that we deliver quality items worthy of the Kawasaki name.

For the heritage items we have highlighted two dates, 1878 when Kawasaki was first started as a shipyard in Japan and 1952, the date that marks the creation of our very first motorcycle. Along with the strap line “engineered for speed” we feel that our new range will strike a chord with the growing number of Kawasaki fans in Europe”.

Sanders and his colleagues within the Clothing and Merchandise Department at Kawasaki’s head office in Europe have some big plans for both parts of the range in terms of leisure items and the more obviously sports oriented garments as he concludes.

“We expect that a large number of items will not be worn when riding and so they have to be fashionable and look good in a bar or restaurant for instance. We are supporting the range with two “Behind the scenes” videos of our lifestyle photo-shoot that took place recently in the South of Spain. The videos show just how fashionable these new clothing items are and we hope Kawasaki fans will share the links so as many people as possible see them.

The idea of the clothing line growing yet more as a significant part of the Kawasaki brand offering excites. We are looking forward to the reaction of the public after the range was launched recently at the EICMA show in Milan.”
