The 2013 Ninja ZX-6R 636 has been enthusiastically welcomed by Kawasaki fans across the globe thanks to its supreme every-day road ability and, equally, its racetrack prowess. Combining the two, the latest in a long line of success mid-weight Ninjas has already taken on the world famous Isle of Man TT course.
In the hands of burgeoning TT expert, James Hillier, the new Ninja tackled many of the most demanding sections of the 37 ¾ mile circuit during the creation of the highly praised official promotional video for the model which has gone on to become one of the most popular movies of its type on YouTube and via social networking channels.
Now, following numerous requests, Kawasaki will release “Ninja ZX-6R on the Isle of Man TT course – The Making Of” video showing a vast array of behind the scenes action.
Telling the story of the most complex promotional video ever made by Kawasaki Motors Europe, the video explores the views of TT rider, Hillier, between takes as he gets more familiar with the flexible and high-performing 636cc engine of the ZX-6R.
Additionally, the production unfolds from the point of view of the crew including Director, Producer, helicopter pilot and the Isle of Man Government’s own liaison officer.
Scheduled for public unveiling at 12:00 CET on Thursday, 14th of February, the production will be highlighted on Kawasaki social networking channels and via other media across the Globe in the three days preceding the launch using three “teaser” clips which capture key elements building towards the full 7:45 minute film itself.
Commenting, Frank Zoontjes, Senior Brand Officer for Kawasaki Motors Europe, praised the project team for their hard work.
“The Ninja ZX-6R 636 deserved the best launch possible and the controlled real roads race environment of the TT course proved ideal. It was such an exciting and interesting promotional video to create it seemed only natural to give an insight into how it was made. We hope fans enjoy the making of video as much as the original promotional material”
